Mentoring Programs
We offer two transformative, one-on-one mentoring programs, made available to all of Lee County's public high schools and middle schools.
- Take Stock in Children is a statewide scholarship program for at-risk students that provides a unique opportunity for deserving students from low-income homes to escape the cycle of poverty through education.
- Student Advocacy & Mentoring Partnership (STAMP) offers low-income students the opportunity to achieve success by providing college and career planning resources and mentoring. Students in STAMP are also offered community scholarships, which they can apply for.
Education Resource Center
The Education Resource Center (ERC) was established to collect and store new and reusable items donated by businesses and individuals to benefit our teachers, students, and schools.
- Books need to be sorted and put on shelves.
- Shelves should be stocked with supplies from the closet and downstairs.
- Greet and direct teachers to sign in at front desk.
- Guide shoppers if they are looking for anything in particular and help them in finding what they need.
- The ERC is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 – 4:30.
Strides in Education 5k Walk/Run
The Take Stock in Children Strides for Education 5k Walk/Run is an annual event that helps raise funds for 120 credit hour tuition scholarships for students in our Take Stock in Children program.
- Check in help to ensure all participants get their assigned bib number before the start of the race.
- Help at water stations throughout the course.
- Help set up and break down the event.
- Event takes place in February.
