Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Hosts Mentor Appreciation Event, Honors Mentor of the Year, Rhonda Dahlin

Fort Myers, FL – January 15, 2025 – The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools hosted its annual Mentor Appreciation ceremony this past Tuesday on January 7th. recognizing the dedication and impact of the local mentors who devote their time and energy to guiding and inspiring the next generation of leaders. The event celebrated the invaluable contributions of mentors who make a lasting difference in the lives of students throughout Lee County.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Rhonda Dahlin as the Mentor of the Year. Rhonda was honored for her exceptional commitment to her mentee, Caroline Papa, offering consistent support, encouragement, and guidance. Through Rhonda’s mentorship, Caroline has gained confidence, developed essential life skills, and experienced personal growth that will serve her well in the future.

“Thank you, Ms. Rhonda, for all that you’ve done for me! You are making a difference in so many lives, and your presence brings about so much positivity,” shared Caroline Papa, Rhonda’s mentee. Rhonda’s compassion and dedication have left a lasting impression on Caroline, reflecting the powerful impact of mentorship.

The importance of mentorship cannot be overstated. It provides students with the support they need to succeed both academically and personally, fostering resilience, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Through the guidance of mentors like Rhonda, students are empowered to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
