The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Awards Over $94,000 in Classroom, School, and District Grants

FORT MYERS, FL — The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools proudly hosted its annual Classroom, School, and District Grants Reception on November 10 at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. The event brought together School Board members, teachers, administrators, business partners, and even district leadership to celebrate and recognize innovative educational projects happening across Lee County.

This year, the Foundation awarded over $94,000 in grants, supporting 47 impactful initiatives throughout the district. Funded projects span a variety of critical educational areas, including:

· 8 Arts grants

· 4 Health, Fitness, and Nutrition grants

· 18 Literacy grants

· 17 STEM grants

These grants will empower teachers to enhance their classrooms with hands-on learning tools, creative experiences, and innovative instructional strategies that directly benefit Lee County students.

“We are proud to support the creative and impactful classroom, school, and district initiatives that keep students engaged and excited to learn,” said Noelle Branning, Board Chair of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. “These grants empower our educators to bring innovative ideas to life and help us develop learners for life across Lee County.”

The Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to the organizations and partners who make these awards possible. We’re especially thankful to The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations and the State of Florida’s School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program for providing matching funds, allowing the Foundation to broaden its impact throughout our community.

A heartfelt thank-you also goes to our major sponsors, Suncoast Credit Union and The Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation, whose generosity fuels transformative educational opportunities.

We also recognize and appreciate our Gold Sponsors: B&I Contractors, LCEC, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, Twins Community Fund, and Utility Structures, Inc. Your commitment ensures our educators have the tools and support they need to inspire students every single day.
