The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools (FLCPS) Awarded Two Lee County Students with $10,000 Scholarships to Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW)

Fort Myers, FL (August 25, 2020) – On Thursday August 20, The FLCPS and FSW surprised Pamatarr Ndure of Fort Myers High and Matteo Rodriguez of Cape Coral High with a $10,000 Scholarship to FSW. Cape Coral High and Fort Myers High had the highest FAFSA completion rate this past school year, which allows them to nominate students for this prestigious scholarship.  The two scholarship recipients were chosen by a selection committee made up of principals, counselors and staff of the FLCPS.  Both students will be attending FSW in the fall.

“ Thanks to the partnership we enjoy with FSW, two very deserving students will be receiving the gift of a lifetime, a college education”, said Marshall Bower, Esq. The President & CEO of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools.

Pamatarr is known for his respectable, kind and sweet personality.  He is very outgoing and gets long with anyone he crosses paths with. Pamatarr is hard of hearing, but that does not stop him from success.  He is a hard worker and goes above and beyond in all he does.

Matteo Rodriguez is an independent and motivated student. He has been in the dual enrollment program at FSW for two consecutive years, while also juggling a job and volunteering at Gulf Coast Village.  Matteo is a diligent student who can achieve anything he puts his mind too.
