The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Awards 29 Scholarships

 Awarding $46,500 to Lee County Seniors

FORT MYERS, FL (May 31st, 2024) – The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools awarded 23 students from The School District of Lee County Public Schools, $46,500 worth of scholarships on behalf of the Angela Mates Memorial, Betty Smith Carriere Memorial, Bonita Bay Triple-A, Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation, Impressions Photography, Jeff Sommer Cross Country Memorial, LEAD Like a Girl, Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation, Suncoast Credit Union Scholars and The Jewish Federation of Lee & Charlotte Counties. These scholarships are both for a traditional college or university and trade or technical school.

This year’s recipients include the following seniors:

  • Skylar Abarca, Gateway High, awarded Suncoast Credit Union Scholars
  • Victoria Aleman, East Lee County High, awarded Betty Smith Carriere Memorial
  • Hope Brittenham, Estero High, awarded Jeff Sommers Cross Country Memorial
  • Payton Cross, Bonita Springs High, awarded Bonita Bay Triple-A
  • Janet Cruz, Bonita Springs High, awarded LEAD Like a Girl
  • Mia Guzman, Cypress Lake High, awarded Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation
  • William Holden, Estero High, awarded Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation & Suncoast Credit Union Scholars
  • Jennalyn Houghtalling, Ida S. Baker High, awarded Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation, Jeff Sommers Cross Country Memorial & Suncoast Credit Union Scholars
  • Amber Irwin, North Fort Myers High, awarded Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation & Suncoast Credit Union Scholars
