(Fort Myers, FL) — The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools announces a charitable gift of $120,000.00 from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation. The funds will be used for College & Career Readiness programs hosted by the foundation. The Foundation’s College & Career Initiatives provide informative workshops, valuable resources, & volunteer mentors to better equip low-income students to plan for success after high school and obtain the financial support needed to achieve their goals. These initiatives involve all 15 high schools and are designed to educate and provide resources to high school students on financial aid requirements, post-secondary opportunities, and exposure to STEM-related careers.
“The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation’s support of our efforts to help prepare our students for a successful and fulfilling life after graduation has been instrumental in changing the lives of so many in our community,” said Marshall T. Bower, President & CEO of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. “By helping our community’s greatest asset, our students, become prepared to be productive members of society, it also positively affects their families and our entire community. We cannot thank them enough for partnering with us!”
